As new parents, my wife and I were filled with immense joy. We also faced challenges that we hadn't anticipated. Our son struggled with feeding and sleeping, and his growth seemed slower than expected. We felt helpless and desperate, searching for solutions that could ease our worries and ensure our son's well-being. Despite the vast array of baby products available, we couldn't find a clear solution to our problems.
I decided to take action. I interviewed over a hundred new parents. Their responses confirmed my hypothesis. Parents were naturally excited about their new babies, but they were also concerned about their safety and growth. They wanted to track their baby's vitals and development, but were overwhelmed number of different baby products in their homes.
This insight sparked an idea: what if we could create a product that combined all these features into one? A product that was safe, easy to use, and could track a baby's vitals and growth.
With this vision in mind, I began to design what would become Woddle. I taught myself UI design, built a basic app mockup, and even bought a 3D printer to create a prototype. After many trials and errors, I was able to create a Smart Changing Pad that could track a baby's vitals, growth, and more.
Founder & CEO Shaker is the CEO of Woddle. Shaker led Google’s Android initiatives for the 2B+ users worldwide. He has built Lumin’s banking platform that serves 2M active users monthly. He is an experienced technical leader with extensive experience developing AI-powered start-ups, building ecosystems, and scaling adoption.
Founder & CTO Steven is Woddle’s CTO. Steven is an experienced engineering leader, executive, and founder. He has led development teams at Google Nest, Nike, Intel, and Willow, and has over a dozen patents to his name. He has taken multiple products from concept to market, designing solutions and solving deep technical challenges along the way.
Director of Product Development Rachel Trobman is a seasoned product executive who has driven results in software and hardware for companies including Bayer, P&G and AppliedVR. Her expertise lies in creating highly-engaging experiences in both consumer and regulated healthcare environments. A former founder, Rachel builds everything with an eye toward business model and scale.
Clinical Advisor Sumedha is a healthcare leader and entrepreneur with experience working in healthcare systems, early stage startups, international non-profits, and organizations supporting health innovation. She's an MD/MBA and actively serves as an advisor to the Consortium for Technology & Innovation in Pediatrics.
Clinical Advisor Paul is a physician executive with over 15 years of administrative leadership experience. He currently serves as the Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer of Memorial Healthcare. His areas of practice have included hospital, ambulatory, skilled nursing/AFC, hyperbaric and wound care, bariatric/weight management and general internal medicine.
Our goal? To bring smart, supportive, and beautifully designed tools into every modern nursery. To create a village of parents, caregivers, and experts. Woddle is just the beginning.
